Through The Years
1945
Leonard Webb – Founder
Leonard Webb founded Webb General Contracting in 1945 in Delano, CA. He started out selling lumber and hardware and building spec homes. In 1955 his son, Doug Webb, joined the company which would be renamed, Webb & Son. By 1960 they moved the company to Porterville, CA, and began working in commercial construction.
1975
Doug Webb – President and Betty Webb – Vice President
In 1975 Doug and Betty Webb incorporated the company and became a dealer for Star Building Systems. They began to design and sell many steel buildings throughout the central valley.
2001
Karen Webb Johns – President
In 2001 Karen Webb became president of the company marking the third generation to lead the family-owned business.
2018
Layton Johns – Vice President
In 2018 Layton joined the company; making Webb & Son a 4th generation family-owned business. Since then Webb & Son has begun working in residential construction again while continuing to focus on commercial construction and steel buildings.
What We Do
Webb & Son specializes in commercial, institutional, agricultural, and industrial construction. We have built hospitals, churches, schools, government and private office buildings, giant-sized agricultural storage sheds, food processing plants, supermarkets, manufacturing plants, among others.
Webb & Son offers a variety of services including project planning, preliminary estimating, permit processing, project management, and "turn-key" project construction.
